"Billy and Joe Stanbro" Joe Stanbro grew up in north central Colorado and has been on and around horses, mules, and donkeys most of his life. He's used theses animals for pleasure, trail riding, hunting, and packing, which he and his son, Billy do to this day all over the Rocky Mountain states. He and Billy adopt, break, and train wild mustangs as well. Joe started making spurs and bits in 1984 because he said bits didn't fit horses, mules, or donkeys and they usually hurt more than they helped. Spurs were of weak metal and didn't fit anyones boots. In 1996, due to growing popularity, Joe's son Billy came into it full-time. Every bit design has been tested and proved at several local ranches in Claremore, Oklahoma, one that handles as many as 600 horses annually. These bit designs have been used on every breed, size, and type of horse there is until workability and comfort was satisfactory. The Stanbro line now includes bits, spurs, buckles, conchos, and saddle hardware. Workmanship on every item produced is guaranteed to the buyers satisfaction.
